Emal announces its first local customer
Emirates Aluminium (Emal) has announced that Trans Gulf Aluminium (TGA), a local manufacturer of aluminium wire rods and aluminium alloy ingots, has become its first local customer.
“Emal is extremely proud today; our product is now being used in local manufacturing – creating opportunities and business growth for the Emirates,” said Emal chief Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei.
“This marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long lasting relationship between our two companies. Emal is a cornerstone in the UAE’s diversification strategy, but the role we play extends beyond the work we do here at the smelter – the aluminium we produce creates additional downstream opportunities for other diversification projects like TGA,” continued Mazrooei.
TGA director, Uzair Ahmed shared Mazrooei’s pride in establishing a local supply chain with mutual benefit for the two companies.
“We at TGA have been impressed with the quality of the Emal product, timely delivery and the customer-service focus of all at Emal,” said Ahmed.-TradeArabia News Service
